My friends left just before Sokran started. Three to four days of parties, parades, and constantly getting wet. It a good thing that's hot and the water cool you off.

My friends left just before the water festival began. Sokran is the the Thai New Years.
In Thailand the celebrate the Western, the Chinese and the Thai New Years.

The celebration of the Chinese New years is with fire (fire-crackers) but the Thai New Years is celebrated with water.

A day of massages

The thai cultural show. I did not take many pictures of the show. Most of time I was just relaxing and enjoying the show.
After my friends left I needed to renew my visa. I went to the Golden Triangle.

We visited the Snake show, the monkeyy show and the Elephant show.



This is Finn, short for Finnagin. He wasn't born yet when I was in Saudi Arabia. So he was happy to see me too.

OK, I admit that I am not real comfortable around snakes. The guy behind me pinched my leg, which of course I am comfortable with.


Now we are at the monkey show. They told me not to touch the monkey because if I did he might pee on me. So I kept my hands to myself.
